CONTEMPORARY ABSTRACT AND MIXED MEDIA ARTWORK

CALL FOR ARTISTS
Let's Talk About Paint (and everything else)
For mid-level professional painters who take their work seriously—and themselves less so.
You know that conversation you wish you could have about why certain gallery relationships fell off, or which workshops are actually worth the investment, or how that one painting technique is driving you crazy in the best way?
Let's have it.
I'm starting a monthly artist group for painters who are past the beginner stage and deep into the real work—the making, the marketing, the navigating of this beautifully complicated art life.
What We'll Do:
-
Talk about art (techniques, inspiration, the paintings that haunt us)
-
Build real friendships with people who actually get it
-
Share intel on the business side—marketing, pricing, galleries, sales, and more
-
Swap recommendations for exhibitions worth seeing and workshops worth taking
-
Discuss art books, documentaries, and films that matter
-
Have open, honest conversations about whatever's on our minds as working artists
The Details:
-
First Meeting: Sunday, January 25, 2026, 3-5 PM
-
Then: Last Sunday of every month, same time
-
For: Mid-level Professional Painters committed to their practice
-
Vibe: Serious about the work, relaxed about everything else
This isn't a critique group. This isn't a networking event. This is a space for painters who want community, conversation, and the kind of friendships that only happen when you're talking with people who understand why you spent three hours mixing the perfect gray.

Space is limited because good conversations are. Let's make something meaningful together.
"The serious fun" means we respect the craft, support each other's growth, and don't take ourselves too seriously while doing it.
