ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Work with museum featured and gallery represented mixed-media artist Rene Griffith in this two-day workshop. Begin by exploring terminology and types of paper, inks, paint and tools you can use with your gelli plate. You will create many interesting, colorful and unique papers using layering, stenciling, and painting techniques. These papers can be used to make journals, books, greeting cards, and mixed media fine art paintings. Rene maintains a professional studio practice focusing on abstract mixed media and collage processes. She will present short lectures and demonstrations, and you will get lots of hands-on practice using a variety of techniques and papers.
